Gymnastics

We were able to escape for a few days and spend some time in Destin, FL. Grandma and Grandpa flew in from Michigan to watch the girls for us so we could celebrate our 10 year anniversary. We left Friday evening, stopped in Panama City Beach to have dinner and then drove to Destin. We stayed at the Beachside Inn right on Crystal Beach. The beach was beautiful with it's very soft white sand and beautiful blue/green water. My sweet husband took me outlet shopping for most of the day on Saturday and then we had a wonderful dinner at Ruth's Chris. We drove home on Sunday morning just as the winds were picking up from Hurricane Gustav. We had a wonderful time, it was nice to get away!! Here are some pictures from our weekend together!

First Day of School

Sterling and Cassidy had their first day of school today! Both girls were so happy to be reunited with their friends and had a great day!!

Kitchen Remodel Update

Here's where we stand so far...still missing cabinet doors, shelves, & some patchwork on the ceiling.

We painted the kitchen but I'm not 100% about the color. It's starting to grow on me. Please feel free to leave your comments about the wall color!

What a slow process. Definitely should have gotten the project end date in writting!

Cassidy's Clavicle Update

We took Cassidy back to the orthopedic doctor today for a recheck. They took another X-ray of her clavicle and she seems to be healing just fine. She has really started using her arm again and does not complain that her shoulder hurts. It's amazing how the body heals!
